- Demolition of the Lane Plating factory began on Thursday. The factory, five miles south of downtown Dallas on Bonnie View Road, used toxic chemicals for over 90 years. The site closed in 2015 amid ongoing investigations and bankruptcy. After demolition, 11,000 tons of soil will need to be removed from the site to continue the clean-up process. - A short-term rental in Northwest Dallas was the location of an operating brothel on High Meadow Drive. Members of the neighborhood said they had brought up concerns about Airbnb and Vrbo rentals in the neighborhood prior to the uncovering of the prostitution ring. The brothel moved locations from High Meadow Drive to a spot in Plano in August 2022. By September, Dallas and Plano officials swarmed the house and made 23 arrests. - School buses caught fire in a Northwest Dallas lot on Thursday.
