  2. The 58th Academy of Country Music Awards will be taking place in Dallas on May 11 with many events leading up to the show, including a benefit concert with country star Morgan Wallen headlining. "ACM Lifting Lives LIVE: Morgan Wallen & Friends" will be the fundraiser for Lifting Lives, a partner of the Country Music Awards. Tickets are officially now on sale; the event will take place at 7:30 p.m. on the green at Topgolf in The Colony following a fundraising golf tournament. (CultureMap Dallas)
  3. A shooting at a 5800 complex on Pineland Drive is currently being investigated as one man was injured and one was found dead on the scene. According to Dallas PD, officers responded to a call on Thursday around 12:50 p.m. in what started as an argument between a man and a pregnant woman; the man then pulled out a gun and shot in the direction of the woman. The woman's husband who was in the parking lot confronted the suspect and was shot, and as of Friday, is hospitalized in critical condition. Police say the suspect attempted to get into the leasing office before firing a few shots into the building and taking his own life. (WFAA.com)
