Frisco Realtor Jenna Ryan Pleads Guilty to January 6 Charges
Jennifer "Jenna" Ryan is the first North Texan — out of nearly dozen charged —to plead guilty to charges related to the insurrection.

DALLAS, TX —Fifty-one year old real estate broker Jennifer "Jenna" Ryan is now the first local Texan to plead guilty to charges she participated in the January 6 insurrection in Washington, DC.
The Frisco broker is one of nearly two dozen Texans from the area —more than most entire states — to enter a plea regarding her actions that day. She had flown on a private jet to attend the "Stop the Steal" rally on January 6, and then live-streamed her movements on social media, which included entering a federal building closed to the public.

Specifically, Ryan's plea on Thursday admitted she was guilty of demonstrating, picketing or parading in a Capitol building, according to court records obtained by The Dallas Morning News. Those plea documents purportedly find Ryan acknowledging that the riot on Jan. 6 riot racked up some $1.5 million in damages to the federal property. Ryan will pay $500 in restitution.
She could also face up to six months of prison time, as well as a maximum fine of $5,000. A sentencing for Ryan has been set for November.

Neither she nor her attorney have responded to press inquiries so far.
Because she'd made herself so visible in real time by documenting her actions, Ryan was among the first to be charged in the storming of the Capitol last winter.
Since that time, she's become a bubbling-under-the-radar media presence. Her "Heil Hitler" Facebook comment led to her suspension from the platform. Ryan responded by saying that Facebook removing her remark "makes me want to say Heil Hitler even louder." She later denied posting the comment, but offered no explanation for how it appeared on her account.
She also raised some eyebrows by coming to the defense of teenage Kenosha, Wisconsin shooter Kyle Rittenhouse, who's currently on trial for gunning down two men during the 2020 Black Lives Matter protests. Ryan claimed online to "love" Rittenhouse.
