1. H-E-B has announced plans to open two Joe V's Smart Shop grocery stores in Dallas within the next two years. The first store is set to open in the summer of 2024 in Southern Dallas, followed by the second store in the spring of 2025 in East Dallas. These locations will mark the expansion of Joe V's Smart Shop brand outside of the Houston area, offering a uniquely curated assortment of products at lower prices, along with popular H-E-B items like bakery goods, sushi, chef-inspired meals, and more. 2. Bobbie's Airway Grill, a new upscale American grill restaurant, has opened in North Dallas. Owned by Western Addition, the restaurant is located at the prestigious Preston-Royal intersection and occupies the space previously occupied by Dougherty's Airway Pharmacy. With a focus on high-quality ingredients and from-scratch cooking, Bobbie's offers a menu inspired by mid-century nods and features a French brass rotisserie and wood-fired grill. 3. The Broadway Dallas High School Musical Theatre Awards (HSMTA) recognized outstanding student performers from 72 high schools in North Texas. Denton Guyer High School received the Outstanding Musical award for their production of "Anastasia," and Corbin Ross from Guyer HS was named Outstanding Lead Performer for his role as Dmitri. Other notable schools, including Cedar Hill HS and Grand Prairie Fine Arts Academy, received awards for Outstanding Ensemble and Outstanding Costume Design. (Focus Daily News)
