  1. Dallas' 13th annual Holi Mela festival will be held at the nearby Southfork Ranch in Parker today (Mar. 4). This Hindu festival of colors celebrates color, spring, and inclusion. The event will not only include tasty cultural food, cold treats, and drinks, but family-friendly games, performances, and plenty of opportunities to be covered in color. Some of the proceeds will also go toward supporting community groups. For more details on the event, click here. (FOX 4 News Dallas-Fort Worth)
  2. A Dallas-based, all-Black sketch comedy group, FCC Presents, is creating a space for Black comedians to thrive. Their shows consist of stand-up, improv, comedy, and music that focus on and are accessible to the Black community. The eight members of the troupe have created a small, diverse, and loyal community that supports Black performers inside and outside of the group. Since the group doesn't currently have a home theater, people are encouraged to follow FCC Presents on Instagram and on Facebook for show dates and announcements. (The Dallas Morning News)
  3. Portillos, the famed Chicago hot dog restaurant, is open in Dallas! The franchise serves up hot dogs, shakes, burgers, and fries, and offers people a nostalgic experience. With over 6o locations across nine states, this is the first location in Dallas-Fort Worth. (CW33 Dallas)
