Here are the top three stories in Dallas today:

  1. A former reality star from Dallas has been accused of stealing money from gay men. James Doyle, who previously starred on A-List Dallas, reportedly befriended multiple victims on Tinder and asked for money to get out of an allegedly abusive relationship. The victims of the scam say they sent Doyle amounts ranging from $1,200 to $20,000. (Dallas Voice)
  2. The Dallas City Council voted Wednesday to ban short-term rentals such as Airbnbs and Vrbos in single-family-zoned areas. Enforcement is set to begin in December and is expected to impact roughly 1,000 short-term rental properties currently registered in single-family areas. The council voted 8-7 to prevent these properties from being grandfathered into the policy. (WFAA.com)
  3. Police are investigating after a man was reportedly pistol-whipped while riding a northbound Red Line train at LBJ/Central Station in Dallas. Video of the incident, which occurred Tuesday afternoon, shows a man and woman arguing with another passenger before the woman hits the passenger with the alleged gun. The victim was transported to Presbyterian Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. (FOX 4 News Dallas-Fort Worth)
