  1. One of Dallas' most prominent animal organizations is offering a new program that provides veterinary students with hands-on experience within the field. The Texas Coalition for Animal Protection's (TCAP) new program focus on providing the next generation of veterinarian doctors with real-world experience while encouraging them to learn more about shelter medicine. It will be a five-day program that is only for students in their fourth year of veterinary school. (CultureMap Dallas)
  2. In partnership with Merlin Entertainments and Hasbro, North America's second Peppa Pig Theme Park officially broke ground in Texas this week. General Manager of Peppa Pig Theme Park Dallas-Fort Worth Jeremy Aguillen, North Richland Hills Mayor Oscar Trevino, and Hasbro's Vice President of Location Based Entertainment Matt Proulx all gave short speeches during the event and revealed one of the new major attractions that will be at the park. This family-friendly experience is set to feature a variety of rides, interactive activities, and theme playscapes set to open by 2024. (Focus News Daily)
  3. On Wednesday, Jun. 28, Dallas' City Council signed a close to $4 million deal that will help their IT department detect possible cyber attacks. According to city officials, this new system will solve the issue of protecting the city's network and structure from any internal and external cyber threats, including any potential ransomware. These approvals come only shortly after the city experienced its first ransom attack in April. (NBC-DFW)
