Part of Broadcaster Pat Summerall's Former Home Collapses In Fire
A Fort Worth mansion that once belonged to the late NFL broadcaster caught fire overnight, reducing part of the home to rubble.
DALLAS, TX —Part of a seven-bedroom mansion that once belonged to famed NFL announcer Pat Summerall is rubble now, after firefighters battled an early morning blaze Friday.
A much beloved and frequent presence on TV, Summerall died in 2013.
The home, on White Chapel Boulevard, lost structural integrity and collapsed sometime before 6:30 am today.

The fire drew responders from Grapevine, Colleyville and Keller, who worked together to save as much of the structure as possible.

The home sold for $4.72 million less than three months ago, and occupied 10,349 square feet.
Fox 4 reports that the new owner said he had begun to move in, but was still having some cleaning, landscaping and painting done on the house.
