  1. Police are investigating a deadly Dallas shooting that took place on Tuesday night. The shooting occurred in the 4300 block of Spring Avenue on Jan. 17. Officials believe that a suspect shot directly into a home, hitting two people. James Deckard, 52, died at the hospital; the second victim refused hospitalization. The suspect has not been identified at this time. (WFAA.com)
  2. The Dallas Zoo is offering the opportunity to "adopt" a zoo animal as a gift for Valentine's Day. When you adopt an animal, you get a customized adoption certificate, an exclusive photo, a stuffed animal, two general admission tickets to the zoo, and an educational report from a zookeeper.   3. The North Texas Food Bank will be hosting the 23rd annual Empty Bowls Event. The event will take place on Feb. 23 at 6:00 p.m. at the Perot Family Campus.
