Want To Cool Off? Consider What's Heading To Dallas For Christmas
As temperatures hover near the century mark, it's fun to put on your favorite yuletide jams and daydream about the cooler holidays to come.

DALLAS, TX—Hot enough for you? This is that time of the year, when Indian Summer is still two to three months away, when you should bust out the yuletide playlist, buy some egg nog (only the canned variety is available year-round) and turn the thermostat down to 50.
Just for a few.
And while you're at it, check out the news that there's a new host venue for the Christmas lights extravaganza known as Enchant. The dazzling light maze shuttered in 2019, but now it's returning to a home at Dallas' Fair Park.

The event is scheduled for Nov. 26-Jan. 2 and will set up on the Fair Park Esplanade. This year's theme is "The Great Search," and promises to take patrons "on a quest within the mystical forest of millions of twinkling lights and a world of wondrous art installations as they journey to save Christmas," according to their news release.

But wait, as the holiday commercials say, there's more. There'll be an artisan Christmas market, delectable holiday treats from across the globe, an ice skating trail and the obligatory opportunity to rub elbows with the jolly old elf himself, Santa.
The event actually hails from Canada, and Enchant: World's Largest Christmas Light Maze & Market first made its mark during the 2017 season in Arlington. It subsequently continued for another two years at Globe Life Park, until completion of Globe Life Field for the Rangers forced it to suspend activity.
But Enchant CEO and founder Kevin Johnston says he's delighted the fest can finally reach its intended audience again. “I can’t tell you how much it means to us to be returning to North Texas this year," he says in a statement. "Providing magical Christmas experiences is at the heart of what we do, and I know I am definitely ready to go back out and celebrate the festivities with my family, and I can imagine many of our guests feel exactly the same way."
