1. Here's where rail and bus service would end if cities pull out of DART (keranews.org) — If Irving voters ever chose to leave DART, the city would immediately lose all eight of its train stations and millions of annual transit boardings, including two Trinity Railway Express stops. DART staff are mapping out worst-case shutdown scenarios as several member cities prepare withdrawal elections, and public hearings on potential service changes are expected early next year.
   

2. Texas Road Rage Ends in Wild Sidewalk Crash (lonestar995fm.com) — A recent road-rage incident in Irving sent two sedans off the street and onto the sidewalk in a chaotic crash partly caught on video. One car hit a street sign, another sped off, and a police SUV quickly appeared in pursuit as one vehicle later smoked heavily from engine damage.

A frequency all her own: Erykah Badu wraps tour with sold-out homecoming (kxt.org) — Erykah Badu just wrapped her “Return of Automatic Slim” tour with a sold-out homecoming show at Irving’s Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory, celebrating 25 years of her album Mama’s Gun. Fans from across North Texas packed the venue for a 90‑minute, visually rich performance that mixed album cuts, covers, and playful crowd moments honoring her Dallas roots.
   

4. U.S. customs officers intercept more than $18 million in counterfeit goods at Port if Louisville (nkytribune.com) — One of three large counterfeit jewelry shipments recently seized by U.S. Customs in Louisville was headed to an address in Irving, tying the city to an $18.6 million haul in fake luxury goods. Officers intercepted bogus Cartier, Audemars Piguet and other high-end brands, and federal officials are warning Irving-area shoppers to be wary of deals that seem too good to be true this holiday season.
   

5. New chair of CDC vaccine panel fired from pediatric practice, wife says (thehill.com) — A pediatric cardiologist affiliated with CHRISTUS Health in Irving has reportedly been dismissed from his practice after becoming chair of a CDC vaccine advisory panel that recently changed infant hepatitis B recommendations. His wife says public backlash over his committee role prompted the firing, even though he has long supported vaccines while emphasizing informed consent.
