Officers say the suspect threatened a relative with a firearm, hit him during a struggle, and was later booked into Irving Jail on domestic violence aggravated assault and vehicle burglary charges.

Texas awards $70 million to rebuild Irving's aging drainage channel, cut flood risk (undergroundinfrastructure.com) — Irving has secured $70 million from the Texas Water Development Board to rebuild a major aging drainage channel, boosting flood protection for more than 240 homes. The multi-phase project, already underway, will reinforce about 10,000 feet of concrete channel, deepen sections for safety, and extend along North Delaware Creek, with full completion expected by 2030 to significantly cut neighborhood flood risks.
