Motorcyclist Killed in Irving Road-Rage Crash on I-635; Suspect Vehicle Sought (irvingweekly.com) — A 20-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a suspected road‑rage crash on westbound I‑635 in Irving near the SH 161 exit, and police are still searching for the driver who fled. Irving Police, Fire, and EMS responded Saturday afternoon, but the rider died at the scene, and investigators are asking witnesses or anyone with information about the suspect vehicle to come forward.
   

2. Irving aims to revamp its 'largest and most outdated' drainage channel with $70M in state funding (keranews.org) — Irving has secured $70 million in state support to overhaul one of its largest and most outdated drainage channels, aiming to cut flood risk for more than 240 homes. Work is already underway in phases through about 2030, with deeper channels, new concrete walls, and utility relocations designed to keep stormwater out of streets and yards.
   

3. Give Blood and Give Patients Time This Holiday Season (northdallasgazette.com) — North Texas residents can donate blood this month at the Red Cross fixed center in Irving, helping keep local hospitals stocked during a high-demand holiday season. Appointments are available through Dec. 31, with special gift card and T‑shirt incentives on select dates and clear eligibility guidelines for new donors.
   

4. Classic rock band Triumph announces first tour in 30 years (star-telegram.com) — Fans in Irving can look forward to classic rockers Triumph bringing their 50th anniversary Rock & Roll Machine tour to North Texas in 2026, with a stop planned in the city alongside San Antonio and Sugar Land. The Canadian trio, popular since the early ’80s, is touring for the first time in 30 years, giving local classic rock fans a rare chance to see them live.
