- Local business, The Bread Box, had $30,000 worth of cash, equipment, and inventory stolen. The incident was recorded on camera at around 3 a.m. on Tuesday. Still images have been posted to social media and the business is asking for anyone who recognizes the individuals to message them on Facebook messenger. Despite the theft, The Bread Box is still open for business. Check out the photos and story at 550 KTSA.
- A high school coach at West Campus has been accused of having improper contact with a 16-year-old student in August 2022. The father of the student noted that the conduct happened in the coach's office on campus and encourages any other students who experienced improper relations to come forward. "Officials with the South San Antonio Independent School District released a statement claiming they cannot comment as there is an ongoing investigation." More details on this story at 550 KTSA.
- A family of eight was hit head-on by suspected drunk driver, 18-year-old Vanessa Alvarado. The entire family of eight made it out alive, though the driver, Sanjuana Escalante was badly injured. She was stuck behind the driver wheel and suffered many broken bones and other injuries. She was heartbroken when seeing her totaled vehicle that she was one month away from paying off. Escalante's family is working on supporting their mother on her long road to recovery, as well as going through the process of forgiveness toward the drunk driver, Alvarado.
