- President and CEO of greater: SATX, Jenna Saucedo-Herrera, explained how the $2.5 billion airport expansion is one of the key parts in the growth of the city. The impressive third terminal is expected to hold about 17 new gates, three times the size of Terminal B, and is expected to open in the first quarter of 2028. The airport also plans an extended runway for longer international flights, more parking, securing more employment for San Antonians, and central passenger screening. - Spring is almost here and the city is giving away free fruit trees at two events. San Antonio Parks & Rec Urban Forestry Division will hand out 850 fruit trees at each event. The first opportunity to snag a tree will be a walk-up on Feb. 25 at Rosedale Park, from 8 a.m. while supplies last. If you miss that day, the second chance will be a drive-thru on March 18 at Nelson Wolff Stadium, from 8 a.m. until supplies runs out. Choices are: lemon, grapefruit, avocado, lime, key lime, satsuma Orange, pink lemon, pomegranate, mango or fig, with a limit of one per household. (KENS5.com)
- Fifty-two-year-old Kevin Osborne was shot and killed while looking for his wife on the West Side. The shooting took place on the 200 block of Pickford Avenue around 1 a.m. "Police said the man went to the home to look for his wife when he got into an argument with another man and his relative." Two men, ages 24 and 25, were taken in for questioning by the police. Check KSAT San Antonio for further details on this developing story.

- Eighteen-year-old dies and 13-year-old injured in shooting: "According to witnesses, a white sedan with at least two males arrived on Casanova Street to confront some people at the 900 block of Chihuahua. There was possibly a gang-related argument." (FOX 29)
