Here are the top stories in San Antonio today:

  1. In contrast to the dry year we had last year, San Antonians are getting a lot of rain this year. "The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch from 7 p.m. on Friday to 8 p.m. on Saturday for Bexar and all surrounding counties and the Hill Country." All of the excessive rain may cause flooding of creeks, streams, and rivers. More details at Texas Public Radio.
  2. A 17 year old fired a handgun and assault rifle outside Privat Social Club at several victims. Edgar Alejandro Elizondo left a party and was picked up by a female victim. She was physically assaulted, and he put the gun in her mouth and against her face. "Elizondo’s bonds total $120,000" and a pre-hearing is scheduled for June 7. Visit KSAT San Antonio for the full story.
  3. Ernie Zuniga announced that he is leaving Fox 29. He was an anchor for 22 years with the station and didn't give specifics on why he is leaving but noted that it was a huge honor of his life to have worked with Fox 29. He is not leaving San Antonio and will take some time to consider what his next chapter holds. Stop by 550 KTSA for more.
