Spring Branch Payroll Vault owners Clint and Lisa Blundon are the ultimate small business heroes! To celebrate Small Business Month, they chose to use their small business to shine the light on other local small businesses by doing a surprise Small Business Giveback.
Clint Blundon made a surprise gift basket delivery to local business owner Brandon Schwaben of Authority Pest Protection as he was out on the road serving customers – just Blundon’s way of saying, "Thank you" for what Schwaben does for their community. Through Covid-19, the Great Resignation, inflation, and every other thing that has been thrown at them, Payroll Vault believes our local small businesses deserve recognition for their resilience.

“Being a small business owner is perhaps one of the toughest jobs, but it’s also one of the most rewarding, as we truly get to serve our neighbors,” said Blundon.
The entrepreneurs of our country bring new ideas to life, serve our communities, and grow our economy. In fact, small businesses make up 99% of all businesses in the country!

By the numbers: How Small Business Contributes to the Economy
- The U.S. has 32.5 million small businesses (less than 500 employees)
- 99.9% of all U.S. businesses are small businesses
- Small businesses account for 44% of US economic activity
Like many others, the Blundon’s are living the American dream by running their own small business which offers payroll and work management services to local businesses, so the owners can focus on building their business, not getting bogged down in administrative paperwork.
“Small businesses are the engine that drive our economy. Like others, I’ve always wanted to own a business and be invested in my community. Every day I wake up knowing I can help other local entrepreneurs stay in compliance with ever-changing payroll tax laws so they can focus on growing their own business. I really believe there is no better way to serve and contribute to the community than owning a small business,” said Blundon.
Part of that is supporting the local small business community in word and action. Payroll Vault Spring Branch is also donating 10% of revenue from every payroll their company runs this month to their local food bank.
The Blundon’s support of small businesses with their Small Business Giveback is what makes Spring Branch and the entire San Antonio community a great place to live, highlights the importance of saying, “Thank You,” and shows how a little kindness goes a long way!
