Here are the top stories today in San Antonio:
- The Bexar County Sheriff's office has filed "criminal charges over Florida’s transport of migrants from San Antonio to Massachusetts." Names of possible suspects involved are not being given at this time. Other civil actions may be taken against those who participated in transporting these vulnerable migrants. KXAN has the full story.
- San Antonio police are searching for an armed, "suspect who shot at plain clothes officers." Plain clothes officers were following a suspicious vehicle right before 7 p.m. near Dawson and Gevers when the suspects fired shots at plain clothes officers. These officers did not return gunfire. They subdued two of the suspects, but are still on the hunt for the third. This investigation is ongoing. KSAT San Antonio may have more updates as details become available.
- VIA Metropolitan Transit has new routes with their fleet of electric buses. "Each new 40-foot bus can hold 38 passengers and has dimmable lights and USB ports at every seat, among other functions." Two routes will begin operating, out of the eight buses. The vehicles will be charged at a VIA charging station. WOAI has the full story.
