  1. San Antonio International Airport is in the design phase for its $2.5 billion expansion. This project will add a new terminal that could be more than 800,000 square feet, with estimated completion in 2028. "The goal, moving forward, according to city leaders, is to develop a structure with a contemporary look that captures the culture and character of San Antonio," along with providing better passenger flow and revenue-generating space. More details on this project in The Business Journals.
  2. San Antonio Icehouse Week highlights a big part of the city's social culture of outdoor dining and sipping cool beverages. This celebration began to support small businesses that suffered during the Covid-19 pandemic. Starting Feb. 24, these eateries will have discounts and prizes for patrons: Bruno's Dive, The Lucky Duck, Lucy Cooper's Texas, Second Pitch Beer Co., Freetail Brewing Co., La Tuna Icehouse & Grill and many more. Check out the San Antonio Current for all the details!
  3. Texas Education Agency Deputy Commissioner Steve Lecholop, former San Antonio ISD board member, was recorded acknowledging, "that the scheme pushed by Abbott and other voucher proponents would result in funding cuts for public schools around the state." This would be the first time that an agency whose duty is to provide free public education to all Texas children, would support Governor Greg Abbott's voucher program.
