- San Antonio Police made multiple arrests after several street takeovers. Those arrested had their vehicles impounded, as well as drugs and guns seized. Chief William McManus noted that some of the vehicles impounded were reported as stolen. “We must send a clear message that these reckless, coordinated criminal events will not be tolerated in Texas,” Gov. Greg Abbott said in a news release. KSAT San Antonio has the full details on this story.
- BCSO will increase presence at Southwest ISD and North ISD due to gun and drug-related incidents. Law enforcement are forming a School Safety Task Force for the remainder of the 2022-2023 school year. "BCSO will be hosting a public safety forum at Bennie L. Cole Elementary (13185 Tillman Ridge on Thursday, March 23rd from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM." To learn more, stop by KENS5.
- Saturday’s Eva Strong Memorial 5K was run in honor of a slain teacher from the Robb Elementary shooting. Eva Mireles’ daughter, Adalynn Ruiz said that the funds raised at the recent memorial, along with any future funds generated will go back to a scholarship, Christmas gifts, and school supplies - All for students and children.
