  1. A substitute teacher at a North East ISD school was arrested for bringing a gun to school. She was conducting active shooter drills on her own, without authority from school officials. Aside from the arrest, the substitute teacher will also not be allowed to return to any North East ISD school to teach in the future. More details at WOAI.
  2. San Antonio's U.S. Marshals located and recovered 30 missing children. This rescue was part of a national effort called, "Operation We Will Find You." Throughout a "10-week search, 169 children were recovered, along with the safe locations of another 56 children." This operation covered 10 major cities, including San Antonio. Missing children could have been part of the following categories: runaways and abduction by a non-custodial parent. More details can be found at mySA.
