- The Board of San Antonio's East Central ISD unanimously approved a new teacher salary package. The new salary for the 2023-2023 school year, includes a $1,500 increase. "The new package means education professionals such as teachers, nurses, librarians, academic and program facilitators and instructional specialists will experience a 3% growth in their annual salaries." East Central ISD is increasing sign-on bonuses to $3,000. (San Antonio Current)
- A male driver was injured after his vehicle was shot at on I-10. The 50-year-old told officers he did not believe that it was a road rage incident but also did not know the person who shot at him and his vehicle. He endured injuries from the broken glass but was not injured by a bullet. Investigators are still working on this case. (KSAT San Antonio)
- A man was arrested for continuous sexual abuse of an 8-year-old child. "Patrick Gregory Carey, 62, is charged with continuous sexual abuse of a child and criminal solicitation of a minor." It turns out that Carey was known to the victim and her family, and had been forcing the sexual abuse on the child for money. "His bond is listed at $115,000." (KSAT San Antonio)
