These national chains offer an assortment of free meals and other deals in a Veterans Day salute to veterans and members of the military.

Restaurants, coffee shops and other businesses across the country are thanking veterans and active-duty military personnel for their service with special Veterans Day discounts, freebies and deals. Veterans Day, which is always observed on Nov. 11, falls on Monday this year.

Some deals start this weekend. A military ID or proof of military service or veteran status is required on most deals. As always, call ahead to your local franchises for these national chains to make sure they’re participating.

Applebee’s: Veterans and active-duty military personnel who dine in receive a free meal from a select menu on Monday.

BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse: No minimum purchase is required for this deal available to former and current military personnel with a valid ID (dine-in customers only). They get a free Chocolate Chunk Pizookie on Monday only, as well as a coupon good from Nov. 12-Dec. 31 for a free appetizer that can be used for dine-in or take-out orders.

Bad Daddy's Burger Bar: Veterans and active-duty military personnel with a valid ID get a free 5-ounce BD’s All-American Burger with cheese and choice of side from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. on Veterans Day.

Bandana’s BBQ: This Monday-only deal for a free pulled pork sandwich and a side is good for veterans and active-duty personnel who dine. A military ID or other proof of service is required.

Bar Louie: Veterans and active-duty military personnel with a valid ID or proof of service can get a free burger Monday and Tuesday in this dine-in-only deal.

Biggby Coffee: On Monday only, veterans and active-duty military personnel with a military ID or proof of service can get a free 16-ounce latte — hot, iced or frozen.

Bill Gray’s: On Monday, veterans get a free World’s Greatest Cheeseburger, regular fries and a soda.

Biscuit Belly: From 7:30 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday, veterans eat free on Monday with a choice of Bacon Egg & Cheese, Sausage Egg & Cheese, or Chicken Biscuit Sandwich and a hot drip coffee or fountain drink.

Bob Evans: Veterans and active-duty military personnel get a free meal from a select menu on Monday (dine-in only).

Bonefish Grill: Active-duty service members and veterans with a valid ID get a complimentary order of Bang Bang Shrimp with a soft beverage on Monday.

Bruegger’s Bagels: Veterans and active-duty military personnel get a free hot or iced coffee (any size) with an in-store purchase on Monday.

Bubba Gump Shrimp Co.: Veterans get 20% off their meal when they dine in on Monday.

Buffalo Wild Wings: Veterans and active-duty military personnel get 10 free boneless wings and fries with a valid ID on Monday. The deal is good for both dine-in and walk-in orders placed at the counter.

Buffalo’s Café: All veterans and active duty military personnel get 25 percent off their meal Monday (dine-in only at participating locations). To claim the deal, show a military ID or wear a military uniform.

California Pizza Kitchen: Veterans and active-duty military members get a free meal from a select menu on Monday, along with a buy one, get one free offer to redeem for a pizza, pasta or salad that can be used Nov. 12-25.

Carolina Ale House: Veterans and military members in North Carolina, Florida and Tennessee get a free half-rack rib platter on Monday (dine-in only).

Carrabba’s: Veterans and active military personnel who show a valid service ID can get an entrée when they dine-in and take home another entrée of equal or lesser value for free from Friday through Sunday. Then on Veterans Day, they can get a complimentary dine-in appetizer or dessert and non-alcoholic beverage.

Chicken Salad Chick: Veterans and active-duty military personnel receive a free meal at all locations on Monday.

Chili’s: Veterans and active-duty military members get a free meal from a select menu on Monday at all participating restaurants (dine-in only). A military ID is required to redeem the offer.

City Barbecue: Veterans and active U.S. military get a free sandwich, one side and a drink on Monday (in-store purchases only, for dine-in or carryout).

Claim Jumper: On Monday, veterans and active military personnel get a complimentary meal from a select menu at any location.

Dave & Buster’s: Veterans get a free entrée (up to $20) and a free $10 Power Card with a valid veterans ID card on Monday.

Mountain Mike’s Pizza: The family-style pizza chain is offering free Garlic Sticks with a $25 purchase. Reward members will get the offer in the app and non-members can use the code FREESTIX online.
