13 Bomb Cyclone Photos You Haven't Seen Yet

From New York to Florida, Patch readers documented their view of Bomb Cyclone 2018 from their very own snowy backyards.

"Bomb Cyclone" initially sounded like a slightly exaggerated name for a winter storm. (Was "Polar Vortex" not scary enough?) But as soon as it touched down in Florida Thursday morning, it became clear that this mutant blizzard was not messing around.

As Bomb Cyclone plowed through the East Coast, it left school closures, frostbite warnings, flight cancellations and hurricane-force winds in its wake. But even among all that unpleasantness, there were many fun, lighthearted and even beautiful snow moments to be had. And luckily, Patch readers were there to capture them.

From rare wildlife sightings to one southerner's first big snowfall, here are some of our favorite photos of Patch towns during Bomb Cyclone 2018 submitted by readers up and down the East Coast:
