WASHINGTON, DC — The holiday season is in full swing in Washington, D.C., as first lady Jill Biden previewed the festive decorations Monday. The theme of this year's display is "Gifts from the Heart" to honor front-line workers who braved the pandemic.
The first lady also said the decor encompasses the people the first family met as they traveled the country this year.
The annual Gingerbread White House features some new additions this year. Surrounding the gigantic gingerbread house is a hospital, school and gas station, showcasing the administration's appreciation for front-line workers.

There is no shortage of Christmas trees in the White House. One tree is adorned with white doves to represent all 50 states, while another tree is decorated with photos of the current and former presidents celebrating the holiday.
