Air Fryers Sold At Best Buy Recalled After Some Catch Fire, Shatter
The air fryers can overheat, causing the handles to melt or break, posing fire and burn hazards, federal regulators said.

ACROSS AMERICA — Over 187,000 air fryers sold at Best Buy stores nationwide have been recalled after federal regulators warned at least two dozen overheated, melted or experienced glass-shattering — including six that caught fire.
Best Buy recalled Insignia brand air fryers and air fryer ovens due to fire, burn and slashing hazards, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said Thursday.
"The air fryers can overheat, causing the handles to melt or break, posing fire and burn hazards," the agency said. "Additionally, the air fryer ovens can overheat and the glass on the door can shatter, posing fire, burn and laceration hazards."
