Amazon-Sold Bed Rails Recalled Over Death Risk: 'Immediately Stop Using'

Officials say the adult bed rails, sold on Amazon, could trap users between the mattress and the rail.

Hundreds of adult portable bed rails sold online, including on Amazon, have been recalled due to serious safety concerns, according to a notice from the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).

The LivingCaring Adult Portable Bed Rails, imported by Shanghai Kai Rong Xin Xi Ke Ji Co. Ltd., violate federal safety regulations, government officials said.

When attached to a bed, the rails can pose an entrapment or asphyxiation hazard, according to CPSC, and the product also lacks required hazard warning labels.
