Art Deco Architecture Is Enjoying A Revival: How Much House
Art Deco is distinguished by bold geometric lines and rich materials, such as marble and gilding, to convey elegance and sophistication.

ACROSS AMERICA — The allure of Art Deco architecture has never completely faded, but the glitz and glamour of this style of architecture that harks back to the Roaring 20s is enjoying a revival.
Art Deco, short for Arts Décorativs, was born in the early 20th century as a product of the International Exhibition of Modern Decorative Arts held in Paris in 1925, it combines various design disciplines, but is most often identified by bold geometric lines and rich materials, such as marble, gilding and other ornamentation to convey a sense of luxury, sophistication and elegance.
In the United States, New York City’s Empire State Building is of the most famous examples of Art Deco architecture.
