Body Found In Search For Gabby Petito As Mystery Deepens

Good morning. It’s Monday, Sept. 20. A body was found in the Gabrielle Petito search as authorities more than 2,300 miles away continued to look for her boyfriend.

Body Found In Gabby Petito Search
The mystery into the disappearance of Gabrielle “Gabby” Petito took another turn on Sunday when a body was found in the area of the Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming, where search efforts were focused.

Authorities later confirmed the remains found were consistent with the missing Long Island, New York, native. Forensic testing was to be performed in order to make a positive identification.
Petito, 22, hadn’t been seen since her boyfriend, Brian Laundrie, returned to Florida from a cross-country trip to national parks the two were on without her. Laundrie, who police consider a “person of interest” in the disappearance, has been missing himself since Sept. 14. Read the full story from Patchogue, New York, Patch

Rip Current Dangers
More than a dozen distress calls were made to authorities on Saturday, when beach goers ignored rip current warnings at the unguarded beaches of the Jersey Shore.
