DIY Winter Craft: Glitter Pine Cones
A useful crafty supply is waiting right in your backyard! Grab some pine cones to make these sparkly decorations.

Thanks to the glitter, this project is super messy. If you're fortunate enough to have a warm day, you might want to DIY outside. Otherwise, make sure to set down plenty of newspaper to prevent any major glitter spills.
Baking the pine cones not only removes bugs and other pests, but it also opens up the pine cone so that you'll have plenty of spots for the glitter.

#1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Fahrenheit. Place the pine cones on a rimmed baking sheet and bake for 30 minutes.

#2. Working with one pine cone at a time, spray a pine cone with spray adhesive.

#3. While the pine cone is still wet, hold it over a rimmed baking sheet (the baking sheet you used in Step 1 will work just fine!) and sprinkle glitter over it.
#4. Repeat step 4 with each pine cone. If you run out of glitter, you can just reuse the glitter that fell onto the baking sheet.
#5. Allow the pine cones to dry.

#6. Arrange the pine cones in a container like a vase or shallow dish, if you'd like.
