DIY Winter Craft: Snowy Tree Wall Art

When chilly winds blow, stay cozy inside creating this fun snowy craft.

This DIY is just as fun for adults as it is for kids. Any color of card stock is fine as long as you avoid white. Otherwise, your beautiful snow won't be visible!

Crayola Brown Tempera Paint

Instructions:

#1. Using the brown paint and paint brush, paint a tree with bare branches onto the card stock. (Don't worry if the branches aren't perfect! They will be snow-covered soon enough.)

Bubble Wrap

#2. Using scissors, cut off a small square of bubble wrap. If kids are helping out with this project, use your best judgement on how big the square should be.

Crayola Tempera White Paint

#3. Using the paint brush and white paint, paint the bubble side of the bubble wrap.

#4. Firmly and repeatedly press the bubble wrap onto the tree branches until the paint is faded or no longer visible.

#5. Repeat steps 3-4 until you've covered the tree with the desired amount of snow.

Tip: If the bubble wrap square gets wrinkled or messy, just cut off another square and start fresh.

#6. Allow the paint to dry, then hang the wall art.
