Eggs Linked To Salmonella Recalled
A company is recalling eggs sold in Wisconsin, Illinois and Michigan that have sickened dozens in a multi-state Salmonella outbreak, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced Friday.

In the recall, Wisconsin-based Milo’s Poultry Farms said it was recalling all Milo’s Poultry Farms and Tony’s Fresh Market-branded eggs after the FDA informed the company that environmental samples tested positive for Salmonella bacteria.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the eggs are linked to a Salmonella outbreak that has sickened 65 people in nine states including Illinois, Michigan, Wisconsin, California, Colorado, Iowa, Minnesota, Utah and Virginia.

At least 24 people have been hospitalized, officials said. No deaths have been reported.
More Apple Juice Recalled Over Arsenic Concerns
A recall on apple juice due to potentially harmful levels of arsenic has expanded to include products at several retailers nationwide.
On Monday, Florida-based Refresco Beverages Inc. issued a voluntary recall of 133,500 cases of apple juice after the products were found to contain inorganic arsenic slightly above U.S. Food and Drug Administration recommended levels.
The expanded recall came just weeks after Walmart pulled more than 9,500 cases of apple juice from its shelves after it tested positive for elevated arsenic levels. The newest recall lists various brands including Market Basket, Nice!, Wellsley Farms, Urban Meadow, Nature's Nectar, Weis and Clover Valley apple juice.

Cantaloupe Recalled Over Possible Salmonella Contamination
Eagle Produce LLC in Scottsdale, Arizona, initiated the recall of 224 cases of whole cantaloupe after routine testing revealed the presence of Salmonella in the produce. So far, no illnesses have been reported.
The cantaloupe was distributed between Aug. 13-17 in Michigan, Missouri, Ohio, Texas and Virginia and sold in various retail supermarkets, according to the FDA. The cantaloupes are identified with a red and white sticker with KANDY across the top, as well as UPC number code 4050 and lot number 846468.
