Frozen Yogurt Lovers Rejoice! A Keurig-esque Soft Serve Machine Just Hit The Market

Move over, Pinkberry, there's a new fro-yo in town.

At-home ice cream makers aren't exactly a new concept, but since most models are clunky to use and hard to clean, they usually end up at the back of your pantry after their novelty has worn off. However, the latest soft-serve maker to hit the market might just change the way we view these home dessert machines.

The Wim (released Aug. 8) operates similarly to a Keurig or Nespresso, using single-serving pods to crank out a fresh cup of frozen yogurt. To make your fro-yo, you add some milk to one of the pods (nut milks work too!), place the pod in the Wim and press a button. The appliance will get super cold, creating frozen yogurt in less than 10 minutes.

There are currently nine different Wim-Bowl flavors. They range from classics like Milk and Cookies and Brownie Batter to more adventurous options like Passion Fruit and Banana Bread. Each Wim-Bowl is made with organic yogurt and sweetened with honey, making them lower in sugar, carbs and calories than brands like Pinkberry or Talenti.

Because each serving is made right in the Wim-Bowl, machine cleanup is super easy (and unlike K-Cups, these pods can be recycled). The appliance is about the size of a Nespresso and is meant to be kept on the countertop, which helps eliminate any storage issues.

At $299 a pop the Wim is definitely an investment appliance, but the pods start at $3, making it worthwhile if you or your family members have a sweet tooth. You can nab both the machine and the pods on the company's website.
