Motion Detector — Detects motion inside your home. You can place a Motion Detector in any room or hallway to get alerts whenever motion is detected indoors.

Contact Sensor — Secures each door and window in your home, and sends you alerts as soon as they open.

Range Extender — Extends the Z-Wave signal from your Ring Alarm Base Station to other Ring Alarm components.

Choose Your System

With the help of the Ring Alarm Security System, you can achieve whole-home security in any home — regardless of its size. And because it’s available in four standard size kits, you’re able to pick the one that best suits your home’s size.

Ring Alarm 5-Piece Kit: Ideal for an apartment or condo, the Ring Alarm 5-Piece Kit offers everything you need to protect one window or door, and add Motion Detection to one room.

Ring Alarm 8-Piece Kit: If you’re looking for a little extra coverage for a smaller space, you can also opt for the Ring Alarm 8-Piece Kit which covers up to four windows or doors.

Ring Alarm 10-Piece Kit: If you live in a home with one to two bedrooms, you may want to consider the Ring Alarm 10-Piece Kit which protects up to five windows or doors, and adds Motion Detection to two rooms.

Ring Alarm 14-Piece Kit: If you live in a larger home with three or more bedrooms, the Ring Alarm 14-Piece Kit may be the right choice for you. It can help you protect up to eight windows or doors, and adds Motion Detection to two rooms.

Customize Your Kit

After you’ve chosen the Ring Alarm that best suits your new home, you also have the option to customize it with features that protect your home your way. On top of adding more Contact Sensors and Motion Detectors to cover extra rooms and entry points, you can add other security devices such as Flood & Freeze Sensors, Smoke & CO Listeners and Panic Buttons.

The Flood & Freeze Sensor detects water and low temperatures so you can stay ahead of costly water damage. Just place it under a sink, refrigerator or any other water source and get alerts when water or low temperatures are detected. The Smoke & CO Listener can be placed near your existing smoke and carbon monoxide detectors to get real-time alerts on your phone if they sound their siren.

If you’re looking for that extra touch of security, you can also include a Panic Button in your security kit. All you have to do is press and hold the Alarm Panic Button for three seconds to sound the siren on your Ring Alarm.

When you opt for Ring Protect Plus* and enroll in 24/7 professional monitoring, you can get help as soon as you need it when an emergency arises in your home. In addition to receiving notifications when any of your security sensors are triggered, your alarm will also alert the Ring Monitoring Center who will call you to see if you need emergency assistance and request help if necessary.

*Ring Protect Plus is required to opt into professional monitoring. Ring Alarm professional monitoring service is available only within the U.S. (all 50 states, but not U.S. territories) and in Canada (excluding Quebec). See Ring alarm licenses at: ring.com/licenses.

Set Up Your Protection

Once you’ve chosen your Ring Alarm Home Security System and its custom features, setting up your system is simple. Just plug in the Ring Alarm Base Station, connect the components and control it all from the Keypad or the Ring App on your phone.

The Ring App allows you to sync all your Ring devices and receive real-time notifications and alerts from your devices, making it easy to monitor them all from one simple dashboard. You’ll also be able to personalize your notification preferences so you only receive the alerts you care about.

When it comes to setting your alarm, you’ll be able to enjoy three levels of comfort: Disarmed, Home and Away. In Disarmed Mode, you can easily go in and out of your home without triggering the alarm. When you’re relaxing at home or going to bed, you can set your alarm to Home Mode, which arms the Contact Sensors around the perimeter of your home by default and disarms all Motion Detectors inside your home by default. When you’re at work, running errands or on vacation, you can arm all sensors by setting the alarm to Away Mode.
