Apple Moved Patch Emails — Here’s How to Fix It In 10 Seconds!
Here are the quick and easy ways to make sure you're seeing Patch emails after Apple's latest changes.

Apple recently made changes to how emails appear in your inbox, and some Patch emails may now be landing in the “Updates” folder instead of your main inbox, which Apple calls “Primary.”
To make sure you don’t miss important local news, follow these simple steps to move Patch emails back to your Primary inbox:
📱 On iPhone or iPad (Apple Mail):
- Find a Patch email in your “Updates” tab.
- Press and hold the email until a menu appears.
- Tap “Move to Primary” — that’s it!
🖥️ On Mac (Apple Mail):
- Open your “Updates” folder.
- Drag any Patch email into your Primary inbox.
💡 Pro Tip: Once you move a Patch email, Apple Mail will remember your preference and future emails should land in your Primary inbox automatically.

How to Turn Off Email Categories
If you don’t like how Apple sorts your emails, you can turn off the Categories and go back to the old inbox view:
- Open the Mail app.
- Tap the More button (three dots) in the top right corner.
- Select List View to remove categories and display emails in a simple, chronological order.
Now your inbox will look the way it did before the update, and Patch emails won’t be sorted into different folders automatically.
That’s it! Quick and easy. Now you won’t miss important local news from Patch
