Most Americans Support Coronavirus Vaccine Requirements: Poll
A Gallup poll conducted in August suggests most Americans favor vaccine requirements while traveling, in restaurants and at work.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — More people are supporting coronavirus vaccination requirements as 2021 continues, a recently conducted Gallup poll shows.
Gallup asked, "Would you favor or oppose businesses requiring people to show proof of coronavirus/COVID-19 vaccination in order to do the following over the next several months?" as part of surveys issued to a panel in April, May and August. The question applied to potential vaccine mandates for people on airplanes, at hotels, at events with large crowds, and in restaurants.
Those who support the requirement on airplanes jumped from 57 percent, to 60 percent, to 61 percent through the time frame. In hotels, the pro-vaccine requirement response went up from 44 percent, to 48 percent to 53 percent.

Whether vaccines should be mandatory at offices and work sites was a new question asked in the August Gallup survey, with about 56 percent responding yes.
Among both vaccinated and unvaccinated as a whole, however, the poll numbers have barely changed over the months. More vaccinated people have consistently been in favor of vaccine requirements, while those who are unvaccinated have generally opposed the requirements.
