We might just be a week into the new year, but 2018 is already looking bright thanks to all the entertainment in store for us this month. Those who prefer a warm couch to the frosty outdoors can delight in tons of new movies and shows now streaming on Netflix, or head to the theater to catch a number of new releases.

The Golden Globes are also going down Sunday Jan. 7, and we're giving you the full rundown on the star-studded show, from which stars are likely to win awards to what your favorite A-listers will be noshing on at the glamorous event.

Just in time for the January chill (or "Bomb Cyclone" for you East Coasters), Netflix is rolling out a slew of must-see movies and binge-worthy series for you to cozy up with. Prepare to set aside a weekend to watch the entire "Godfather" trilogy, all of the "Batman" films and the full "Lethal Weapon" series.

Classics like "Breakfast at Tiffany's" and Gene Wilder's "Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory" will also be available for your viewing pleasure, while new season's of Jerry Seinfeld's "Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee" will have you in stitches. Here's what else to binge watch this month.


See It Or Skip It: "Insidious: The Last Key"

Patch Entertainment Reporter Beau Behan saw the fourth installment of the “Insidious” franchise to let you know what's up. Taking place shortly before the events of the first film,“The Last Key” is the origin story of the spirit medium (Lin Shaye) who's about to embark on another paranormal mission involving her childhood home. The verdict? The movie has plenty of jump scares, but they tend to be very predictable. Skip it.


Get Ready For The Globes...

The 2018 Golden Globe Awards, that is. On Sunday Jan. 7, Seth Meyers will host the 75th annual awards show celebrating the best in movies and television. With nominees like Reese Witherspoon, Meryl Streep, Tom Hanks and James Franco in attendance, we're predicting glamorous red carpet moments, buzzy speeches, surprising wins and more. Winter Is Coming — But Not Until 2019

"Game of Thrones" fans, we have good news and bad news. The good news is that HBO has finally announced when the final season of the beloved series will premiere. The bad news? You're going to have to wait at least another year to find out who will end up on the iron throne. The network confirmed the show's last six episodes will air in 2019, although an official date has not yet been revealed. Get the full story here.
