Patch Pet Of The Week: Messi
Make your Monday a little brighter by reading all about this little cutie-pie!

Messi, aka Princess, may look like a baby but she is actually an 11-year-old King Charles Cavalier from New Jersey. She loves babies, her neighbors and anyone who will give her a back rub! Messi is super friendly and loves to meet other pups and their humans.
First day home
Messi was in dire straits when her owners were called to get her. She was recuperating from Syringomyelia, which is an extremely serious condition in which fluid-filled cavities develop within the spinal cord near the brain. After she met Tango, her brother who is also a Cavalier, she immediately perked up and was brought home. We're so glad she's in good health now.
Favorite treat
Messi has a varied palate. She enjoys chowing down on pumpkin, egg whites and carrots just to name a few! Hey, at least she's healthy.

Weirdest thing she ever ate
Fresh snow! She loves rubbing her face in the snow and then eating it.
Likes
Messi really loves long walks in her stroller where she gets to meet new people. She's a real social butterfly.

Dislikes
She gets very scared when she sees someone riding a bicycle. She also doesn't like seeing big dogs off their leash.
Funniest habit
Messi will actually dance for her food! She does a little dance to get chicken patties, LOL. I don't know about you, but we'd love to see that dance.
Favorite Toy
Her squeaky squirrel toy is by far her favorite.
'Messi is a sun bunny'
She loves hanging by the pool, relaxing on her cooling mat. In the winter months, she loves wearing her stylin' winter coats and sweaters! Whatever the season, Messi is always adorable and brings a lot of love to her family.
