Photos: KU Takes Home NCAA Title, Defeating North Carolina 72-69
The Jayhawks take home their first title since 2008, marking their fourth championship win in NCAA history.

ACROSS AMERICA — The Kansas Jayhawks came back from the brink in Monday night's national championship game against the North Carolina Tar Heels, winning the NCAA men's title 72-69.
The Jayhawks had gone into the second half of the final March Madness game down 40-25. But they were able to claw their way back in the second half by overtaking the score and leading by six points with 10 minutes left on the clock, marking a historic comeback.
It's been more than a decade since the team last won the tournament — in 2008 — and the victory marked Kansas' fourth championship title. Monday night's win was the second title won under coach Bill Self.
