Photos: White House Easter Egg Roll Returns!

The rain couldn't keep families away from the first Easter Egg Roll at the White House since the start of the pandemic.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The traditional Easter Egg Roll returned to the White House on Monday for the first time since the start of the coronavirus pandemic.

A little bit of rain dampened the event but could not keep the 30,000 kids and family members away from the the fun. President Joe Biden and first lady Jill Biden kicked off the all-day event from the Blue Room balcony .

The theme was "egg-ucation" and took place on the South Lawn. The first lady is known for her educational background, and stations were set up around the lawn with various educational booths.
