Serving Smiles Across 26 States

According to the spokesperson, Culver's approaches the opening of new restaurants differently than many other businesses.

"One of our co-founders, Craig Culver, always said 'it's not about the number of restaurants we have, it's about the number of great restaurants.' So when we remember that it all started in one community, with one successful restaurant, serving one friend, neighbor and family at a time, that's when our brand will continue to win," the spokesperson said in a statement. "That's why require our owner-operators to be present and engaged in each and every restaurant so we can meet our guests' expectations of hometown hospitality served with a delicious meal every time."

The very first Culver's restaurant opened in 1984 in Sauk City, Wis., with the goal of serving Midwest classics like "butterburgers" and fresh frozen custard with a smile to every guest who walked through the doors, according to the company's website.

The website also notes Culver's has since grown to a network of over 1,000 restaurant locations across 26 states. As the chain expands, its plans to stay true to its Wisconsin roots at each location.

The menu at Culver's features a wide selection of butterburgers made up of "pressed and seared fresh, never frozen beef."

Customers can choose from a variety of burgers, including deluxe, bacon deluxe and mushroom and Swiss cheese, as well as a colby jack pub burger currently available for a limited time only.

The Culver's menu also features chicken tenders and sandwiches, salads, fries and frozen custard.
