Some Skittles, Starburst, Life Savers Gummies Recalled

Metal was found in some Skittles, Starburst and Life Savers brand gummy candy, according to Mars Wrigley.

Some Skittles, Starburst and Life Savers brand gummies have been recalled because it may contain a very thin metal strand embedded in the gummies or it may be loose in the bag in some products, the Food and Drug Administration announced Friday.

Some consumers reported the metal to parent company Mars Wrigley Confectionary US, which is unaware of any illnesses linked to the contaminant, according to the release.

The products were shipped nationwide as well as to Canada and Mexico, a Wrigley Mars spokesperson confirmed to Patch.
