Veterans Day Deals: Military Personnel Eat Free At These Restaurants

Proof of military service is generally required to claim free meals and other deals offered by these four dozen chain restaurants.

Restaurants, coffee shops and other businesses across the country are thanking veterans and active-duty military personnel for their service with special Veterans Day discounts, freebies and deals. Veterans Day, which is always observed on Nov. 11, falls on Tuesday this year.

A military ID or proof of veteran status is required to claim the offers. Deals are good on Veterans Day unless otherwise noted. As always, it’s a good idea to call ahead to make sure local franchises are participating.

54th Street Grill: Veterans and active-duty military get up to $10 off any entrée (dine-in customers only).

Applebee’s: All active-duty military, veterans, reserves and National Guard members get a free, full-sized entrée from an exclusive menu. Dine-in customers in this group get a $5 gift card good for three weeks and redeemable on their next dine-in, to-go, or delivery order.

Aspen Creek: From 11 a.m.-6 p.m., veterans and active-duty military will receive a $15 meal voucher.

Biggby Coffee: Veterans receive any 16-ounce beverage for $1.99 all day.
Bill Gray’s: Veterans get a free World’s Greatest Cheeseburger, regular fries and regular soda with proof of military service.

BigBoy: For $5, all active-duty military members and veterans get a choice of eggs and meat, hotcakes and meat or French toast and meat. All include coffee.

Bob Evans: All veterans and active-duty military personnel who dine in the restaurant get a free, farm-fresh meal.

Bubbakoo’s Burritos: Dine-in guests with a valid military ID get a free Taco Trio at all locations nationwide.

Bubba’s 33: From 11 a.m.-4 p.m, veterans get free lunch or a voucher for a future visit.

Bubba Gump: Veterans get 20 percent off dine-in meals.

Buffalo Wild Wings: Military personnel and veterans get 10 free Boneless wings and Fries with a valid ID; good for dine-in and walk-in customers at participating locations.

California Pizza Kitchen: All veterans and active-duty military can choose one entrée from a special Veterans Day menu (dine-in only).

Chili’s: Veterans and active military members who dine in get a free meal from a select menu.

Connors Steak & Seafood: All active and retired military members get 50 percent off a lunch or dinner entrée on dine-in meals To claim the offer, they must present valid military identification or be in uniform. The Veterans Day offer is valid for dine-in service only and applies to one entrée per service member. The discount does not include appetizers, desserts, beverages, or alcohol.

Cracker Barrel: Veterans get a free sunrise pancake special while supplies last (dine-in customers only, proof of military service is required).

Denny’s: Active and retired military personnel can get a free Original Grand Slam breakfast from 5 a.m. to noon local time at participating locations nationwide.

Dickey’s Barbecue Pits: Veterans and active-duty military personnel get a free pulled pork sandwich (dine-in and carry out, limit one per guest).

Freddy’s: Veterans and active military personnel who visit on Veterans Day can get a free Freddy’s Combo meal card good through Dec. 31, 2025.

Green Mill: Veterans get a free menu item all day.

The Greene Turtle: Veterans and active-duty military personnel are invited to enjoy a free meal (up to $15 value) all day long (dine-in only).

Golden Corral: From 4 p.m. to close, the buffet restaurant will offer active and former military members with a free meal.

Hacienda Mexican Restaurants: Veterans get a free large Wet Burrito, either dine-in or carry out.

Hof Hut: All active-duty military personnel and veterans get a complimentary meal and a $10 thank-you Bonus Card for use on a future visit.

Hooters: Active and retired military can choose one free meal from a special menu.

Houlihan’s: Veterans receive a half-off discount on select entrées.

Huey Magoo’s: Veterans and active military members can claim a free three-piece Tender Meal with the purchase of a regular beverage.

In-N-Out Burger: All veterans, active-duty military, reserves and National Guard members receive a complimentary meal, including any burger, fries, and beverage.

IHOP: Vets get a free Red, White & Blueberry Pancake Combo served with eggs, hash browns and a choice of meat.

Joe’s Crab Shack: Those who have served get 20 percent off their meal (dine-in customers only).

LIME Fresh Mexican Grill: Veterans eat free and receive a LIME Challenge Coin (a $50 value, excluding alcohol) to use throughout at any LIME Fresh location. To claim the deal, show a veteran ID at checkout. In a new tradition, each veteran with a challenge coin can dine free on the 11th of every month.

Logan’s Roadhouse: From 11 a.m.-3 p.m., active-duty military and veterans can claim a free meal from the Veterans Day menu.

Lucille’s Smokehouse Bar-B-Que: From 11 a.m. until closing time, active-duty military personnel and veterans can claim a complimentary meal and receive a $10 “thank you” bonus card.

Main Event: Veterans and active-duty military members get a free double cheeseburger with fries and 30 minutes of game play.

McCormick & Schmick’s: Veterans of the U.S. military, National Guard, Gold Star parents, Gold Star spouses and active military can choose a half-priced entrée on Sunday, Nov. 9.

Metro Diner: Veterans get a 50 percent discount on meals.

Mission BBQ: Veterans get a free sandwich and a special treat at noon with a performance of the National Anthem.

Ninety Nine Restaurant + Pub: Veterans and active-duty military get a free lunch entrée with the purchase of an adult entrée on Veterans Day, available from opening until 4 p.m. They will also receive a $5 reward card for their next visit.

O’Charley’s: Veterans and active-duty military get a free entrée from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. on both Nov. 10 and Nov. 11, as well as a $5 reward card for their next visit.

Pilot: Veterans, military personnel and their families who are authenticated with ID.me in the Pilot app get a choice of a free breakfast sandwich and coffee or lunch item and fountain drink.

Red Robin: Veterans and military members get a free Red’s Big Tavern Burger (dine-in only).

Rocks & Brews: Veterans, active-duty military, and first responders who dine in at participating locations will receive a complementary pulled pork sandwich or strawberry fields salad.

Shoney’s: Vets and active military members eat free from the breakfast fresh food bar from opening until 11 a.m.

Smoothie King: Active-duty military and veterans can claim a free 20-ounce smoothie at participating locations nationwide. The offer is available from 12-3 p.m.

Starbucks: On Veterans Day, veterans, military service members and military spouses can enjoy a free tall brewed coffee (hot or iced) (café and drive-thru orders only).

Stonefire Grill: All veterans and active-duty military personnel receive 50 percent off dine-in meals.

Torchy’s Tacos: Veterans and others with a military ID can claim a free drink and taco.

Texas Roadhouse: Free meals are offered to veterans and active military members at restaurants across the country.

White Castle: All veterans and active-duty service members who dine at a participating White Castle restaurant can claim a free individual combo meal or a breakfast combo meal.
