ACROSS AMERICA — Here are some of the best photos of the past week from around the country and the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics.

In Minneapolis, hundreds gather to protest and mourn Amir Locke, a 22-year-old Black man who was killed by police executing a no-knock warrant. In Beijing, Team USA competed in the first week of the Olympic Games. A protest by Canadian truckers shut down the Ambassador Bridge in Detroit, one of the busiest of U.S.-Canada border crossings.

And, in New York, one of the states lifting mask mandates as COVID-19 infections decline, Gov. Kathy Hochul allowed the indoor mask mandate to expire, except in some areas.
