What Are The Top 10 Christmas Movies? Take The Patch Survey

The holidays are a perfect time to cozy up next to the fireplace with family and friends in your matching PJs, sip on something hot and comforting, and stream or pop a classic Christmas movie into the DVD player.

Fittingly, it’s a scene peeled right off the silver screen.

But what’s the movie? A classic from the Golden Age of Hollywood? An animated film that appeals to everyone from kids to their great-grandparents? A rom-com or family drama?

In the informal survey below, Patch has listed 20 films that consistently showed up in Google searches for the best Christmas movies of all time. You may vote for only one, so choose carefully.

With the wide availability of movies produced for Netflix, Amazon and other streaming services, as well as ubiquitous holiday movies on cable TV’s Hallmark Channel, your favorite may be on the list. Our survey has a place to tell Patch readers why they should add it to the list.

Please note, we did not include the 1998 film “Die Hard” in the choices. Whether it is or is not a Christmas movie is a topic of great debate every year, and we have a separate question about that.

We also included a space to say whatever else you want about Christmas movies. Don’t hold back — we value honest feedback — but please do remember that this is the season for peace and love. And no worries, we don’t collect email addresses.
