SALT LAKE CITY, UT — After two years of cancellations and modifications, residents in cities and counties across the country are looking forward to many of the traditional Independence Day activities that mark the summer holiday. July 4 is tomorrow, so there’s still time to find out what Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on near you in 2022.
We have all the fireworks shows, parades and festivals happening in and around Salt Lake City so you can start planning now.

July 4 Festivities
What: Liberty Day
Where: This Is The Place Heritage Park (2601 Sunnyside Ave. South, Salt Lake City)

When: 10 a.m.-5 p.m., July 4
This Is The Place Heritage Park is putting on an old-fashioned celebration of the 4th of July. Independence Day at the Park begins with a flag ceremony and a salute to the nation conducted by the Sons of the American Revolution. Guests can take part in all the regular daily activities, as well as additional events such as the Candy Cannon and a watermelon eating contest.
What: 4th of July Freedom Brunch
Where: Handlebar (751 N. 300 West, Salt Lake City)
When: 10 a.m.-3 p.m., July 4
The bicycle bar Handlebar is celebrating 4th of July with its fabulous brunch. Handlebar is closing early so everyone can enjoy the evening fireworks.
What: South Salt Lake Independence Day Parade
Where: Fitts Park (3050 S. 500 East, Salt Lake City)
When: 8 a.m.-1 p.m.
The festivities begin with a fun run at 8 a.m. and a flag ceremony at 9:30 a.m. The parade begins at 10 a.m., ending at Fitts Park, where festivities will begin at 10:30 a.m.
What: 4th of July Celebration at The Gateway
Where: The Gateway (18 N. Rio Grande St., Salt Lake City)
When: 5-10 p.m., July 4
The Gateway's 4th of July celebration includes two stages for live music, American classic food at Gateway restaurants and bars and food trucks parked in the plaza. There will be kids' activities, and those wearing red, white and blue will receive $4 off admission at Dreamscapes. There will be a fireworks show at dusk.
What: Salt Lake Bees Postgame Fireworks
Where: Smith's Ballpark (77 W. 1300 South, Salt Lake City)
When: 6:35 p.m., July 4
Take in America's Pastime as the Triple-A Salt Lake Bees host the Sacramento River Cats with first pitch at 6:35 p.m. After the game, the Bees will put on their 4th of July fireworks show.
