Annandale Blockbuster Closing Sale Starts Monday

The Annandale Blockbuster Video store will begin selling off its inventory Monday as part of the store's closing sale.

The sale begins at 11 a.m. Monday. The store, located in the Little River Shopping Center beside Dollar Tree, is one of 300 stores Blockbuster plans to close in the next few months.

An employee said prices on all previously viewed DVD's are $9.99 each or lower excluding multi-disc sets and merchandise from Disney merchandise and DVD's (which are price-controlled). All games are also for sale at discounted prices. The pricing on items will decrease as the weeks continue until the inventory is gone.

The Annandale location will close at the end of March, which is when their lease expires, said the employee.
