• Staffer At Fairfax Co. School Faces Assault Charge: Police (patch.com) — Parents and students in Annandale are being alerted after a 33-year-old instructional assistant at Annandale High School was charged with simple assault following a student’s report of being physically assaulted on Dec. 19. Fairfax County Public Schools has placed the Annandale staffer on administrative leave, and police are asking anyone with information about this case or related incidents to contact detectives or submit anonymous tips.
