Grocery Store Robbery: 2 Suspects Charged

Police say two suspects were arrested for robbing a grocery store Wednesday off of Little River Turnpike.

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA -- Police say they have arrested two suspects who they say took part in the robbery of a grocery store off of Little River Turnpike this week.

Police say the commercial robbery took place in the 6200 Block of Little River Turnpike Wednesday morning, at about 9:19 a.m.

Two men entered the grocery store and assaulted an employee of the store, according to police. They took property and fled, police said. The victim was uninjured.

The suspects were described as two black males, in their early 20s. Responding officers located a suspect who matched the description and an investigation determined that the other suspect was nearby.

Both suspects were apprehended. Mohamed Bishmar, 20, of Annandale was charged with Robbery. Mohamed Elmi Nur, 21, of Alexandria, was charged with Drunk in Public, Open Container, and Robbery.
