FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA -- An Alexandria area teen was arrested Friday morning for assaulting an officer after police responded to a report that she and another teen were allegedly being disorderly and drunk in public, according to Fairfax County Police.

Police say that they were called Friday shortly after 10 a.m. to the lobby of a building in the 5500 block of Seminary Road (see map below), responding to a report about two women being drunk and disorderly.

When the officer attempted to take one of the suspects into custody, she began to assault the officer, police said. After a struggle, the officer was able to gain compliance. Carla Rosales, 18, of the Alexandria area, was transported to the adult detention center and charged with drunk in public, obstruction of justice, and assault on law enforcement, according to police.
